Minimally Invasive Methods for Maxillary Sinus Elevation
Maxillary sinus floor can be raised with different methods and implant applications can be done in maxillary posterior toothless areas in cases where residual vertical bone height is insufficient. The surgical method is chosen according to the residual vertical bone height. There are invasive applications with traditional methods. Today, however, minimally invasive methods are preferred for the same purpose. This presentation will include anatomy and physiology of the maxillary sinus, indications for maxillary sinus floor elevation, traditional surgical methods, minimally invasive surgical methods, graft materials and patient selection.
