Platelet-rich fibrin is a blood concentrate system which is used recently in our dental school, in oral surgery and implantology.
A retrospective study it was done in 49 articles and five books. The criteria of selection were key -words like platelet rich fibrin, PRF in regenerative dentistry, A-PRF and I-PRF. Based in this literature was found the importance of the use of PRF as a new concept in dentistry which increase the quality and results in different interventions in oral surgery. Based on this concept we have started to use the PRF techniques in our dental school in post-extraction alveola, soft tissue regeneration in periodontal disease, sinus lift, implantology etc. Also, an in- vivo study was performed with well-designed protocols of PRF, used for bone augmentation in implantology associated with soft brushing technic and apical- maîtres. Significant results were observed.
